(Battle Creek, MI) The Midwest Compact Touring Series has made it a mission to keep our teams, sponsors, and fans updated on the Covid-19 pandemic. After speaking with the Kalamazoo Speedway management this weekend, we would like to announce the postponement of the Midwest Compact Touring Series event on June 5th, at the speedway featuring Joe Nemechek.
The state of Michigan announced its extension of the stay at home order until May 15th. We expect some of the restrictions will be lifted in the coming days, however we do not feel that the restrictions allowing group gatherings will be lifted allowing the event to happen. We will be working with the Kalamazoo Speedway, Midwest Dirt Series, Midwest Enduro Series, MCR Dwarf Cars, and Joe Nemechek when the restrictions are lifted to see if we can reschedule the event in the future.
“This was the most exciting season in our seven year history,” stated, Micheal Wood, Midwest Compact Touring Series Owner. “It’s extremely heartbreaking to see all of our sponsors, teams, tracks, and fans that have been personally effected by this virus.”
