(Three Rivers, MI) The Midwest Compact Touring Series moved its headquarters to Three Rivers, MI from Chicago, IL on January 1, 2019. The touring series features 4cyl compact racing that stretches from New York to Wisconsin with events in ten states. Most area residents may not know what the Midwest Compact Touring Series is or even that its headquarters are in their town.
The series held its annual Banquet of Champions at the Three Rivers Community Center on Saturday February 16th with close to hundred guests in attendance from New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan. The series honored Phil Malouf from Mantish Waters, WI as the Rev X Oil National champion. Brian Sprague from Brookville, PA as the East Series Champion. Adam Krzykowski from Yale, MI as the North Series Champion. Brandon Delacy from Stoughton, WI as the West Series Champion.
An after-event survey was sent out to area teams and it is estimated that over $10,000 was spent on the local economy at local hotels, restaurants, gas stations, and local bowling alley. It was confirmed that the Holiday Inn in Three Rivers was sold out with Midwest Compact Touring Series guest. The overflow of guest was spread out through other local hotels. It has estimated that thirty Midwest guests packed into the South Lanes Family Center following the banquet.

Instant Cash and Prime Designs both local businesses in the Three Rivers Community are sponsors of the Midwest Compact Touring Series. They sponsored the banquet at the Community Center bringing the event to Three Rivers. In addition, Logan’s Landscaping of White Pigeon, MI also helped sponsor the banquet.
The Midwest Compact Touring Series is a short track racing traveling series with events held in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin. The first event of the season will be at Richmond Raceway were NASCAR visits twice a year on March 29th and 30th.
